Many people have problems using waterproof stickers, but the majority of issues can be corrected relatively easily. One of the least annoying is the sticker not adhering quite right to begin with. This is possible when the surface is dirty or oily. For example,  it may not stick  so well if you slap a waterproof  sticker on a wet bottle or dusty wall. That does not happen, it is clean surface which can be dry before pasting. Another concern is bubbles in the sticker. That’s if you slap the sticker  on a little too soon, or don’t push it down evenly. A bubble can allow water into the sticker, destroying it. Spend some time  pressing the sticker down in small increments, beginning with one side and working your way  to the other. You can also employ a flat tool, such as a credit card to press air bubbles out. Occasionally we hear how stickers lose their  gloss or skim over with time, particularly those with prolonged exposure to sunlight. Waterproof stickers can  fade in the sun, too. Opt for stickers printed with UV-resistant ink, such as from Yiko, and they’ll last outside a little longer. Also, don't pull  off and re-stick the sticker too many times as this weakens the adhesive. If you want to reposition  a sticker, it is better  to use a new one. Finally, variations  in  temperature can make the stickers shrink or develop bubbles. Here’s what a reader wrote to me recently: “What is best practices for attaching these stickers? If the surface is really cold (i.e. outside in WI winter) it doesn’t want to stick.” Try not to apply stickers when the temperature is crazy like that, relatively cool or  else you will wind up with internal warping.
